Vuframe takes another Award back home

Vuframe named winner of the innovation competition "Retail in Transition 2018" in the start-up category. Franz Josef Pschierer, Bavarian Minister of State for Economic Affairs, Energy and Technology, hands over the prize of 10,000 euros to Managing Director Andreas Zeitler.

The competition was launched by the Rid Foundation and UnternehmerTUM, Germany's leading center for innovation and start-ups at the Technical University of Munich. Ideas that strengthen the in-store shopping experience, digital technologies that facilitate the shopping process, concepts that promote cooperation between retailers or innovations that cleverly combine online and offline shopping are awarded. During the Rid Future Congress on October 25, 2018, the winners of the innovation competition "Retail in Transition 2018" were announced.

How do you strengthen stationary retail?

While the online sales of the "big players" such as Amazon, Zalando, Idealo and Co on the market are increasing every year, smaller, medium-sized companies are forced to act. Not every business has to have its own online store, but not using the Internet at all is now not an option. This is exactly where Vuframe comes in and helps retailers to bring their product range directly from the store to the potential customer without much effort by means of augmented and virtual reality. The software from the Regensburg-based start-up combines 3D, augmented and virtual reality technologies in a single platform and can thus visualize products impressively and to scale, regardless of the local inventory.

Vuframe's mixed reality solution enables brick-and-mortar retailers to completely redesign the sales process and extend it beyond the brick-and-mortar store. The Vuframe team has shown that online and offline are not opposites, but can be cleverly combined," said the jury.

"I am particularly pleased that the jury singled out the team, because without the support of the employees, who all stand behind our common vision and pursue the same goal, none of this would be possible," sums up Andreas Zeitler, visibly satisfied. It should also be emphasized that the start-up was able to double its staff within the last few months and thus further expand internal areas such as technology, sales and marketing or business development. "This means that we are not only able to provide our customers with a highly innovative product, but also to advise and support them with the appropriate expertise at all times. This creates trust and security.
