Known Issues

Studio

  • VF-754File Uploads are disabled after upgrading workspace to Aura v2.0

  • VF-834Material Mapping: mapping two model materials to the same Library Material will collapse the materials into one, re-mapping the original materials is not possible

Aura™

  • when using VRay or Arnold Materials, textures will only be imported if they are located in a folder named "tex" in the zip root directory

  • special Cinema 4D objects (Text, Extrude) can only be hidden by setting their visibility to hidden for rendering (bottom red dot) and not by hiding their parent objects

  • .c4d files larger than 1.5 GB might not process successfully

  • objects with multiple selection tag, materials and UVs in certain constellations might not preserve uv mapping correctly

  • when using multiple texture offset U and V and and Length U and V on multiple objects with same material, Aura™ only imports one. (workaround: create a individual material for each individual offset.)

  • macro bump map scaling may differ from the settings in Assyst Vidya

  • if an object is assigned both a bump map and a macro bump map simultaneously, the GLTF versions of the model will only contain the bump map

  • certain objects have missing texture coordinates that are set to (0,0), which result in meshes being colored in bottom left pixel of texture

  • older Vidya versions might not be scaled correctly in AR (workaround: reprocess model by setting the scale factor in VUFRAME® Studio)

FBX Integration

  • due to different fbx export programs and their scaling measurement settings (Maxon Cinema 4D, 3DS Max, Blender) the fbx scaling might not be automatically correct in AR and VR, which means the model might appear too large or too small. Please use the import scale in VUFRAME® Studio to correct model dimensions.

  • Animated models using the 2-Axis-Animation component cannot be moved in Lifesize Augmented Reality using the 2 Finger Drag gesture
