Cookie Policy

Last updated: October 2026

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, tablet, smartphone) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, to improve their efficiency, and to provide information to the owners of the site.

Similar technologies include web beacons, pixels, local storage, and session storage — they serve comparable purposes.

2. How We Use Cookies on vuframe.com

We aim to keep cookie usage minimal. Here is a precise breakdown of what is active on this website:

2.1 Technically Necessary Cookies (Cloudflare)

This website is protected and accelerated by Cloudflare. Cloudflare may set technically necessary cookies for:

  • Security functions — DDoS protection, bot detection, abuse prevention
  • Load balancing — routing your requests to the optimal server
  • Session continuity — ensuring consistent delivery during your visit

These cookies do not track you for advertising or profiling purposes. They are essential to the secure and reliable operation of the website.

Provider: Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA
Privacy Policy: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in security, performance, and availability.
Retention: Session-based or short-term (typically 24 hours).

2.2 Analytics (Umami — Cookieless)

We use Umami for website analytics. Umami is a privacy-first, open-source analytics platform that works without cookies.

  • No cookies are set by Umami
  • IP addresses are anonymised before any storage
  • No cross-site tracking occurs
  • The tracking script loads from this website; usage data goes only to this website’s own address (/s/)
  • All analytics data is processed on our own servers (self-hosted at gdd.vuframe.com)
  • No data is shared with third parties

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in understanding and improving our services. Because Umami sets no cookies and processes only anonymised data, no consent is required under GDPR or the German TDDDG.

2.3 Error Monitoring (Sentry)

We use Sentry to detect and resolve technical errors. The Sentry script is part of this website; error reports go to this website’s own address (/e/) and from there to Sentry.

  • Not active in development or staging — only loaded in the production environment
  • No cookies are set by Sentry
  • No personal contact information is collected
  • Data is limited to technical error context (stack traces, browser/OS, affected URL)

Provider: Functional Software, Inc. (Sentry), 45 Fremont Street, 8th Floor, San Francisco, CA 94105, USA
Privacy Policy: https://sentry.io/privacy/
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in maintaining a technically stable website.

2.4 Session storage (button text)

The site shows one of two button texts (“Request Access” or “Book a demo”). The choice is stored in your browser’s session storage under the key vf-cta and is deleted when you close the tab. It is passed with a contact enquiry so that we can compare the two texts. It is not a cookie and is not used to track you across websites.

2.5 Contact form (Deftform, Cloudflare Turnstile)

The contact page embeds a form by Deftform (ivy.mayhem GmbH) with Cloudflare Turnstile as spam protection. Details are in our Privacy Policy.

3. What We Do NOT Use

  • ❌ No advertising or marketing cookies
  • ❌ No third-party tracking or retargeting pixels
  • ❌ No social media cookies (no Facebook Pixel, no LinkedIn Insight Tag, etc.)
  • ❌ No Google Analytics, Google Ads, or similar tracking tools
  • ❌ No cookie consent banners required for analytics (Umami is cookieless)

4. Third-Party Embedded Content

Certain pages on this website may embed or link to third-party content (e.g. 3D viewer iframes, video players). These third-party services may set their own cookies according to their respective privacy policies. We have no control over third-party cookies.

If you encounter a third-party embed that sets cookies you did not expect, please contact us.

5. Managing Cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Common browsers provide instructions here:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions

Please note that disabling Cloudflare security cookies may affect website availability or trigger additional security checks.

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing of, or object to the processing of your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at:

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when our tools or legal requirements change. The current version is always available at vuframe.com/cookies.
